Well the long wait is over. The Films debut album, DON'T DANCE RATTLESNAKE will be released in the US on September 25, 2007, via The Films Online Store and iTunes. This will be a Limited Edition, 2 CD version of the album: the entire album + the secret album HORSEFORCE! (country-tinged versions of 10 of the songs from D.D.R.). And right now it's available for pre-order for only $9.99 (After September 24, 2007 the price will go up to $12.99).
'Why is the band releasing it on their own?' you ask, here's the story... If you didn't know already, recently the band split from WB Records and they felt the best and quickest way to release the album in the U.S. was solely on their own - NO LABEL. Obviously this a big task but we are very excited to finally get it into everyone's hands. But, WE NEED YOUR HELP MORE THAN EVER ON THIS ONE. If there ever was a time to put your love for THE FILMS on the line, it's now; all we're asking is for a little bit of your time. Here's the new web ad for the new single "Belt Loops." Unfortunately this is a UK only release, but it won't hurt to post it everywhere. Also, the debut album "Don't Dance Rattlesnake" will be released in the UK on June 18, 2007. No word yet on a U.S. release date but we'll let you know as soon as we do.
