FYI - speaking of "the label"....here's a story: like many tumultuous relationships do, ours with warner bros has seen it's last days. i won't go 'all into it', but you know that point when you have to sit that special someone down, look em square in the eye and say something like "baby, you've changed", or "things were so much better at the start.. you don't really do it for me anymore. i think it's time we start seeing other people". you know how it goes.

but, how are you putting the record out, you might ask? BY OUR DAMN SELVES! that's how. and we couldn't be happier about it!

so... since we have taken the power back as they say, and are now in total control, here's what's gonna happen: we've got this blog here, see, where we will post whatever we want, whenever we want! including videos we/you make, photos we/you take, and all the other things we/you create. like music. it feels good, doesn't it.. the power.

"HORSEFORCE!"

As a special gift to you, the first 1,000 orders we receive for the hard copy of our record will include the bonus disc, HORSEFORCE! complete with artwork. confused? let me explain... HORSEFORCE! is a very special record that we made (in one day) while mixing Don't Dance Rattlesnake in LA. "the label" wanted us to go to a studio and make acoustic versions of all the songs on the record. since we are not big fans of "boring", we instead decided to rearrange the songs and make completely different versions of them embracing the theory that 'a good song is a good song no matter how you arrange it'. we sped up some of the slow ones, slowed down some of the fast ones, changed the instruments up, and basically did whatever we wanted to mess with the arrangements and still do justice to the songs. Jake engineered and mixed it, and we like it just as much as the actual record. it includes alternate and country versions of 10 of the songs from DDR, plus one bonus track. saddle up!
